So, whats my story?
My journey into data analytics started almost ten years ago. While pursuing my postgraduate qualifications, I was required to conduct quantitative research when writing up research projects and my dissertation. I never thought I'd actually be applying this skill set out in the world one day. In fact, my career would start in an expected but different place.
I studied I/O psychology, all the way up until my Masters, so naturally I was introdcued to a range of data analysis techniques. However, when entering the world of work for the first time, I found myself performing within mainstream or traditional human resource management functional areas.
I wouldn't say I was unhappy, but I felt somewhat unfulfilled. Luckily, fortune favoured me, and I found myself stumbling across People Analytics. So, I tried it, and loved it. I never thought I'd be applying statistics, data analysis and research to improve business processes and support strategic thinking and decision making. This really opened my eyes and so an intense curiosity grew within me.
Working within the data space on a day to day basis, I found myself constantly wanting to improve what I was doing as well as the way I was doing things. So to partially satisfy my curiosity I decided to upskill myself and grow my skill set in the realm of data analytics and science. I've come a long way, but my journey isn't over yet, I consistently seek to broaden my knowledge and ability within the dataverse with the aim of becoming a master in the field.
I do however, believe my experience and expertise has reached a level where I am able to offer my skillset to those whom require these services. I hope for my freelance venture to not only be work, but opportunities for me to make a positive difference or contribution to your business, service or whatever it may be. So whenever you ready, please contact me and I'll do my best to support your cause.
